I don’t think that blogging constitutes real journalism. Bloggers find stories and disseminate them to each other, but fewer people are doing actual journalistic writing. You still need hard-news sources to stay informed.

I once met this old school Russian videojournalist, who lived in Berlin before the wall fell.

He used to send stories to the West using a catapult. Now that is fucking journalism, compared to merely hitting ‘reblog.’
