I was on MTV in '93

Today someone was playing No Rain, by Blind Melon. This was the first CD that I ever bought. I really liked the music video with ‘the bee girl.’

Then one day, she showed up at my summer camp with an MTV News crew, to do a short piece on her. My friend and I played on the jungle gym in the background. One of my counselors said he saw it on MTV that weekend, but I never got a chance to see it, until 2000, when they were doing a millennium wrap up. I haven’t thought it about that until today, and then someone mentioned something they didn’t have at the turn of the millennium, streaming video. I noticed that China, has just banned a lot of random things in anticipation of the Olympics. Tibetan flags, Foreign entertainers, Blacks and Mongolians, and Big Dogs (I think the T-shirts are still okay)
